President Bola Tinubu has commended philanthropist and oil magnate Sir Emeka Offor for donating 10 containers of medical and nursing books to tertiary institutions across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. The initiative, led by the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, responds to a direct request from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The foundation procured and shipped the 40-foot containers of up-to-date medical texts and journals from the United States to bolster healthcare education in the country. In a statement issued by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Offor's effort as a vital boost to institutional academic capacity in the health sector. "Sir Offor's generous effort will go further to strengthen healthcare education and academic capacity at the institutional level," the President stated. Tinubu, expressed gratitude to Chief Executive of Chrome Group, for his ongoing commitment to education, health, and human capital development. He urged the businessman not to relent in his philanthropy. The books are set for distribution to medical institutions nationwide, addressing critical gaps in resources for training doctors and nurses.
