Wikki Tourists have appointed Evans Ogenyi as their new Technical Adviser as the club battles to avoid relegation in the Nigeria Premier Football League. The Bauchi-based side confirmed the appointment on Friday, making Ogenyi the club's third coaching change of the 2025/26 season. He replaces interim coach Bashir Saleh and takes charge with the team struggling near the bottom of the table. Wikki Tourists currently sit 16th in the NPFL standings with 32 points from 28 matches. The club has managed just two victories in their last 15 games, leaving them in danger of dropping into the relegation zone as the season enters its final stretch. Ogenyi arrives with experience in Nigerian domestic football. He managed Kano Pillars earlier this season before leaving the club. The coach also previously worked as an assistant at Rivers United, where he gained experience with a title-chasing NPFL side. Wikki Tourists will hope his familiarity with the league and experience in high-pressure environments can help stabilise the team and improve results in the closing stages of the campaign.
