As the world on Sunday mark the international women's day, Kebbi state branch of National youth council of Nigeria NYCN joined great Nigerians to celebrate women in their fold who did the nation and their communities proud. Kebbi state Chairman of the apex youth body , comrade Ahmed rufai Khalifa in an official statement to mark the day described women as inevitable in every strata of human endeavours saying their role in sustainable peace and unity in Nigeria cannot be ignored but appreciated. " A day like this we celebrate great daughters of Kebbi state who contributed and are still contributing to women empowerments in Kebbi state state". Khalifa who noted the sacrifices and efforts of women in Kebbi state youth council said that without the support of those women the Kebbi state council wouldn't achieve what it has achieved so far. " We are deeply grateful to women in our fold we celebrate you today even as the council pledged to stand by all of you today and always as we struggle daily to support youth across the gender to find their footing " He commended Nigeria's first lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, Kebbi first lady Zainab Nasir Idris and Nafisa Nasir Idris for their role in assisting women to build their future.
