Hon. Jafaaru Yakubu, Chairman of the House Committee on Nigeria-China Parliamentary Friendship Relationship, has commended President Bola Tinubu and China Harbour Engineering Company for the swift progress on the Shabu-Lafia-Makurdi bypass. Yakubu described the project as a landmark achievement that highlights the strength of Nigeria's leadership and the benefits of strategic international partnerships. He noted that the bypass, which had been abandoned for years, is now being revitalised under Tinubu's administration and executed with urgency by China Harbour. During an inspection tour, Minister of Works David Umahi, representing the President, reiterated that the bypass is part of a broader infrastructure agenda aimed at modernizing Nigeria's highways. Federal Controller of Works, Manri Ishiaku, also commended China Harbour's efficiency, describing the bypass as a "game‑changer" for the North‑Central region.
