Jetour, an automobile brand, has introduced the Jetour X50 into Nigeria's compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment, adding a new option for urban drivers seeking vehicles equipped with safety and connectivity features. The Jetour X50 comes with several safety systems aimed at improving occupant protection and vehicle stability. These include multiple airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, and an Electronic Parking Brake combined with an Auto Hold function designed to assist drivers in traffic and while parking. The vehicle is also equipped with driver-assistance technologies such as a 360-degree camera system and parking sensors to improve visibility when manoeuvring in tight spaces. The SUV also incorporates an alarm system, automatic door locking, and power windows. Inside the cabin, the Jetour X50 features smart entry with push-button start and selectable drive modes, including Eco, Normal, and Sport, allowing drivers to adjust performance depending on road conditions. Cruise control is also included for highway driving. The vehicle's infotainment system is built around a 10.5-inch display with Bluetooth connectivity, voice command capability, phone mirroring, and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes wireless phone charging and a six-speaker audio system. The SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a dual-clutch transmission. According to the company, the model will be available through its network of accredited dealers in Nigeria, including Elizade Nigeria Limited, New Era AutoVehicle Services Limited, Kojo Motors, Germaine Auto Centre, Tab Autos Limited, R. T. Briscoe Motors, and Mandilas Motors. The entry of the Jetour X50 adds to the growing number of compact SUVs competing for buyers in Nigeria, particularly in urban areas where demand for smaller but feature-equipped vehicles has been increasing.
