A frontline All Progressives Congress support group, the APC Grassroots Governance Group APC G3 group has berated activist Aisha Yesufu over comments that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has already lost the 2027 presidential election. The group said the claim is a "dream that has no connection with political reality." In a reaction on Friday, APC G3 National Coordinator, Amechi Chuks Oyema said Yesufu was yet to recover from the outcome of the recent local government elections in the Federal Capital Territory, where the ruling party recorded a strong performance. The group stated that the activist's remarks were driven more by disappointment than by objective political analysis. According to the group, the victory recorded by the APC in the FCT council polls clearly demonstrated that Nigerians still believe in the leadership and policies of the Tinubu administration. "It is unfortunate that Aisha Yesufu is still dreaming and has clearly not recovered from the shock of the FCT local government elections where Nigerians rejected the opposition narrative," the group said. The APC G3 added that contrary to Yesufu's claims, the growing support for Tinubu across the country, including among state governors and political stakeholders, reflects confidence in the administration's reforms and governance agenda. The group also argued that political history in Nigeria has repeatedly shown that elections are decided by voters and not by social media commentary. While urging critics to engage in constructive discourse, the APC group maintained that President Tinubu remains focused on delivering economic reforms, improving infrastructure and strengthening national security ahead of the next election cycle. It added that Nigerians would ultimately decide in 2027 whether to renew the mandate of the APC-led governmen Source: https://blueprint.ng/2027-apc-g3-blasts-aisha-yesufu-over-comments-on-tinubu/
