Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has claimed that his state is the most peaceful in Nigeria. Speaking during a media parley on Friday with some selected journalists in Akure, the state capital, Aiyedatiwa said he carries peace. He stated that no governor in Nigeria has ever had the number of votes he got to become governor of Ondo state, stating that politics can be about noise, but he is not a noise maker. The governor equally said Ondo has the second largest bitumen deposit in the world, next to Canada, stressing that it has not touched bitumen exploration, and that he would do a lot in that area. According to him, Two companies are currently exploring, and their licences are owned by the Ondo State government. "It is not about talk and noise. I carry peace, and Ondo State is one of the most peaceful states in the country. Politics can be about noise, but I am not a noise maker. "Sometimes the people will make noise, the followers, the people on the street, by time they see what you are doing. Drive around the street of Akure, the people are talking about it. "I don't need to be the one to blow my trumpet sometimes, but the people, whatever they see, they will talk about it," he said.
