Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, UNESCO Laureate and World Records Holder, has said that the University of Liberia is set to host a prestigious Leadership Summit and Award Ceremony on May 30, 2026, in collaboration with Crown University Int'l Chartered Inc., USA, and the Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development, Lagos, Nigeria. Daily Independent learnt this from the First African UNESCO Laureate in a telephone conversation with our reporter today, being Thursday, March 5, 2026, as he stated that the event will honor Very Important Persons (VIPs) with honorary doctorate degrees from Crown University, USA, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to leadership and development. In the words of Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu: The summit's theme, "Leadership in the Age of Digital Transformation," aims to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue, networking, and collaboration on pressing economic issues. "The event highlights the significance of the summit in today's digital age. I, Prof. Aremu, Africa Chairman, Board of Trustees, Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council (UNACCC), an official partner of the United Nations, He is Chairman Organize Committees". "The summit will feature prominent leaders, including former Minister of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Liberia, members of the Board of Trustees of Crown University, and other distinguished guests from around the world".
