P&ID: Court to rule on Briton's fraud trial May 11

Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday, fixed May 11 for judgment in the alleged fraud trial of a director in the Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) Limited, James Nolan. The judge fixed the date after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)'s lawyer, Bala Sanga, and the defence counsel, Michael Ajara, adopted their final written addresses on the case. Nolan, a British national, had on January 16, 2025, told the court that he would not call any witness(es) in the trial. In Friday's proceeding. the defence lawyer said he would rely on the prosecution's evidence already presented in court and would not be presenting additional evidence.
