Nigerian skit creator Nasiru Lawal has reacted to comments by fellow entertainer and streamer Carterefe suggesting that skit making is no longer thriving. Carterefe stirred debate after stating during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast that the skit industry was fading. He revealed that the situation made him feel depressed at some point before he eventually transitioned into streaming. Responding during a chat with Naija FM in Lagos, Nasboi expressed disappointment with the remark, insisting it was unfair to dismiss the same platform that helped many creators gain popularity. "Evolving is not a bad idea but talking down on the industry that made you is a crime in my books. Caterefe is my friend, we speak every time. But he is a loose talker," he said.
