The Arole Oodua and Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has congratulated Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, over his appointment as Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Ooni Ogunwusi who is the co-chairman, national council of traditional rulers of Nigeria, described Senator Ibrahim who holds a doctorate graduate of the University of Cambridge, Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master of Science from the University of Oxford as the right man for the job. "There is no better time for such a strategic appointment than now that Nigeria needs several diplomatic approaches to her challenges and playing a pivotal in the global leadership scene. "Senator Ibrahim is a man of quality and substance who will deliver optimally as expected of his latest status. As a Senator in 2023, he served as an Interim President of the United Nations Inter-Parliamentary in Geneva, Nigeria's Representative in ECOWAS and also as an Executive Member of the Pan-African Parliament. "These experiences will help him in no small measure to be successful as Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations," the Ooni said. The monarch equally appreciated the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding a descendant of Oduduwa worthy of such prestigious and strategic appointment.
