A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Chief Tony Nwobodo, has reaffirmed his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, in the 2027 general elections. Nwobodo made the declaration shortly after paying a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area, Caleb Nnaji, at the council secretariat. He commended President Tinubu for what he described as the delivery of democratic dividends to Nigerians, citing ongoing infrastructural projects across the country and signs of improvement in the economy. Reaffirming his support for the President, he said: "I am here to tell Nigerians that his 'Renewed Hope' agenda is beginning to take root, and for the sake of continuity and national stability, his re-election is a necessity we must all get behind." The APC chieftain also praised Governor Peter Mbah and the leadership of Enugu South Local Government Area for what he described as good governance across the state, particularly in the council area. He noted that Governor Mbah is a leader with a clear vision, adding that the governor's 'Tomorrow Is Here' mantra is already bringing transformation to Enugu State. "I am throwing my weight behind his second term because you don't change a winning team," he said. Nwobodo also commended the council chairman for his leadership and commitment to the development of Enugu South. "I came to pay him a visit and give him my blessings for what he is doing in Enugu South Local Government. He works with a very pure heart. I thank him very much. "More especially, I commend the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his good governance. "All eyes are on the ball, and that is why I am holding this ball to tell everybody not to allow deceptive people to mislead them with peanuts in the 2027 general elections. In just a few years, Tinubu has done what other presidents could not achieve in eight years. "Thank God we now have people who understand administration very well. Tinubu has passed the baton to our governor, Peter Mbah, and he has turned Enugu State into a viable state. Investors are queuing up to come to Enugu, and property values have appreciated."
