Maxzeeton Technology has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the Borno State government to train 100 youth graduates in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence to help them compete in the global digital market. The MOU was signed with Kashim Ibrahim University, Borno State Information and Communications Technology Development Agency (BICTDA), and Centre for Advocacy, Transparency and Accountability Initiative (CATAI). The Chief Executive Officer of Maxzeeton Technology, Abdullahi Usman Abbati, said the initiative is to bridge the gap between academic learning and workforce demands through advanced digital carriers. He said the initiative, tagged DAAI - SheCode Fellowship, is a six-month intensive programme aimed at tackling youth unemployment and accelerating digital transformation in Borno and Northeast Nigeria. "Under the agreement, 10 fellowship slots have been allocated to transitioning students of KIU, including final-year students and recent graduates, to equip them with industry-relevant skills and prepare them for employment and remote digital opportunities," he said. He said the programme will provide structured, hands-on training in Data Science, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence through a project-based curriculum aligned with international standards. Participants will also be registered for globally recognised certification examinations by CompTIA to enhance their competitiveness in the global job market. "With unemployment rates continuing to rise across the country, the DAAI - SheCode Fellowship is structured as a strategic intervention to bridge the digital skills gap and create a sustainable pool of tech-enabled professionals. "One of the core objectives of the programme is to directly address the growing challenge of job scarcity by empowering youths with in-demand digital competencies aligned with global workforce standards," he said The fellowship, which will run for six months at the Maxzeeton Hub in Maiduguri, is open to transitional youths across the city," he added. According to Abbati, in addition to KIU, dedicated slots have been reserved for students of the University of Maiduguri, Ramat Polytechnic, and Al-Ansar University to ensure institutional inclusion. "BICTDA is expected to provide policy guidance and support to ensure alignment with state digital development goals," he said. Signing the MoU, the Vice Chancellor of Kashim Ibrahim University, Prof. Babagana Gutti, described the partnership as timely and strategic, noting that digital skills have become critical in the modern labour market. He said the collaboration aligns with the university's vision of equipping students with practical competencies that respond to emerging global employment trends, especially in technology-driven sectors.
