More than 1,790 people have been evacuated from Iran through the Azerbaijani checkpoint, including 282 Russian citizens. As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," bus routes through Iran between Baku and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic have been suspended due to military action in Iran. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has recommended citizens to refrain from visiting Iran and Israel. From February 28 to 10:00 on March 7, 297 citizens of Azerbaijan, 487 - China, 282 - Russia, 173 - Tajikistan, 118 - Pakistan, 57 - Oman, 44 - Italy, 32 - Indonesia, 20 - Spain, 18 - Saudi Arabia, 21 - Iran, 16 - France, 13 - Georgia, 10 citizens of Bulgaria and Congo, 8 each from Brazil and the United Kingdom, 7 each from Belarus and Uzbekistan. Also, 6 citizens each from the UAE, Slovakia, and Canada crossed the border; 5 each from Serbia, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, and the Czech Republic; 4 each from Bahrain, Jordan, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Japan, Ukraine, Turkey, Hungary, Belgium, and Kuwait. In addition, 3 citizens each from Qatar, Bangladesh, Mexico, the Philippines, Finland, Romania, and Croatia were evacuated; 2 each from Nepal, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Yemen, Sudan, India, and Cyprus; and one citizen each from Poland, Australia, Tunisia, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Egypt, Myanmar, the Maldives, Cuba, South Africa, Sweden, Germany, and the Vatican, the publication says.
