President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation for facilitating the procurement and shipment of medical books and journals to strengthen healthcare education in Nigeria. Tinubu praised the initiative in a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. According to the statement, the foundation responded to a special request from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare by procuring and shipping 10 forty-foot containers of current medical and nursing books and journals from the United States to Nigeria. The books are expected to be distributed to tertiary medical institutions across the country's six geopolitical zones. The President said the donation would strengthen healthcare education and improve academic capacity in medical institutions nationwide. Tinubu also commended philanthropist and businessman Emeka Offor, the Chief Executive of the Chrome Group, for his continued support for initiatives that promote education, healthcare and human capital development. He urged Offor to sustain his philanthropic efforts and continue supporting causes that benefit society.
