The Lagos Marvel Lions Club, District 404B2 Nigeria, has marked a defining milestone with the successful charter pre­sentation and induction of the Marvel Lagos Leo Club at Ben Gee Model College, Agege, Lagos. The well-attended ceremony formally welcomed a new gener­ation of young leaders into the global network of Lions Clubs International. The event featured the offi­cial presentation of the charter, induction of members, and in­stallation of club officers in what participants described as a dig­nified and inspiring atmosphere. Lion Olakunbi Labiyi, the Club President, while speaking at the ceremony, described the oc­casion as a landmark moment for the club, noting that it completes the strategic youth development structure established by Lagos Marvel Lions Club. According to her, the Cubs were inducted last year, the Ome­ga Leos were sponsored in 2024, and the induction of the Alpha Leos now completes the club's youth leadership pipeline. "In the next 10 years, these Al­pha Leos inducted today will be the future of Lagos Marvel Lions Club," she said. Labiyi explained that the club's deliberate and structured approach is designed to ensure sustainability by building lead­ership capacity across different age groups within what members proudly refer to as the Marvel­lous Pride. Also speaking at the event, Lion Adekemi Badmos, Region 4 Chairperson, expressed her ex­citement at witnessing what she described as a significant growth milestone for the club. She noted that the Alpha Leo Club represents the third club sponsored by Lagos Marvel since its establishment three years ago, reflecting its strong expansion trajectory and commitment to youth empowerment. According to Badmos, the chartering aligns with Mission 1.5, the global membership growth initiative of Lions Clubs International aimed at strength­ening service capacity through strategic expansion. She explained that Lagos Marvel's multi-tier structure -- accommodating Cubs, Alpha Leos, Omega Leos and Lions -- ensures continuity, mentorship and intergenerational participa­tion in community service. "By investing in structured youth engagement, Lagos Mar­vel is not merely increasing mem­bership numbers; it is cultivating knowledgeable, ethically ground­ed and service-driven future Li­ons," she said.
